The Great WSA Virtual Duck Race is coming! Get ready for some quacking fun! The Wendron School Association is hosting its very first online duck race from Monday 31st March at 12:00 PM to Friday 4th April at 3:00 PM! For just £2.00 per duck, you can enter the race, give your duck a fun name, and cheer it on as it takes to the virtual skies! The ducks that travel the furthest will win some brilliant prizes: 1st Prize – £10 Amazon voucher 2nd Prize – Easter Egg 3rd Prize – Easter craft activity All prizes will be handed out in the first week back after the Easter break. Today, our students had the privilege of meeting Cat Burford, affectionately known as 'The Molar Explorer.' Balancing her full-time role as an NHS dentist, Cat became the 13th woman to ski solo and unsupported to the South Pole, completing the journey in 53 days. Cat's story embodies the essence of our school vision, "Living life, life in all its fullness" demonstrating that with determination and optimism, we can overcome challenges and achieve greatness. She was inspired to become an explorer by her school geography teacher. As Sir Ernest Shackleton once said, "The quality I look for most is optimism: especially optimism in the face of reverses and apparent defeat. Optimism is true moral courage." Cat's journey to the South Pole exemplifies this spirit, inspiring our students to embrace challenges with passion and perseverance . Year 6 Scientists Take Gold at the Kernow Learning Physics Olympics! Last Thursday, some of our brilliant Year 6 scientists headed to Falmouth Primary School for a day of exciting experiments at the Kernow Learning Physics Olympics. From designing tin foil boats to see how many pennies they could carry before sinking to launching paper rockets across the room with straws, it was a fantastic day of hands-on learning! We are incredibly proud to announce that for the second year in a row, our team came 1st! Huge congratulations to our young physicistsyour hard work and enthusiasm were truly out of this world! #kernowlearning #AsOne

This morning, Lander class had a visit from a registered bird ringer. He set up a net to catch some of the birds, that regularly visit the outdoor learning space. The children thoroughly enjoyed seeing the birds up close and learning about them.

What an incredible Christmas Fair! A huge THANK YOU to the Wendron School Association and our amazing staff for their hard work and dedication in making Friday's event such a success.
